EVOLUTION
Definitions:
The way in which living things change and develop over million of years
A gradual process of change and development
Evolution is change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations.
For instance, I resemble my Father and Mother, and my child will also resemble me a bit, and it goes on and on.
Jesus demonstrated His love towards humanity when he died on the cross (John 15:13). So Jesus expect us to demonstrate love to our fellow human being, but in what form is it through the cross, "Love Evolution".
In the book of Corinthians, Apostle Paul dedicated one chapter for love that shows how important love is needed in the New Testament dispensation.
Before Paul the Apostle taught about love in his first letter to the church in Corinth, there was a problem. When you read the twelfth chapter, you'll see that the church was gifted with many spiritual gifts. Due to how proud and competitive the churches were, there was hatred among themselves thereby bringing division within the congregations. By this, Paul wrote a letter to address the issue.
When you divide the twelfth chapter: verses 1 to 11 talks about the various gifts, 12 to 20 talks about unity in the church or oneness of the body, 21 to 26 talks about proudness, and 27 to 31 talks about equality. And he ended by saying, "BUT NOW, LET ME SHOW YOU A WAY OF LIFE THAT IS BEST OF ALL."
"LOVE", as Paul the Apostle talked of in the thirteenth chapter, argued his point in the twelfth chapter. Thus, no matter how gifted you are, if you have no love, you are empty. For God is love. (1 John 4:8)
Greek philosophers came out with many ideologies about love and were able to name a type of love expressed in a particular point in time. Some of these are:
1. Eros - Erotic or romantic love (Eph 5:25, I Corinthians 7:1-5)
2. Philia - Friendship or platonic love (I Samuel 18:3)
3. Storge - Familiar (family) that is, parents to children and vice versa. (Eph 6:1-4)
4. Ludus or Playful love
5. Mania or Possessive and Jealous love
6. Pragma, Enduring or Aged love
7. Philautia or Self Love
8. Agapeos or Unconditional love.
In conclusion, the fruits of the Spirit began from love, which shows how important love is. (Galatians 5:23-23).
